A Landscape Built for Riding. With nearly 650,000 acres of riding terrain, The Hideout offers more space to ride than many states have in total parkland. You’ll move through sagebrush flats, red rock gorges, alpine meadows, forested ridgelines, and mountain lakes—sometimes all in a single day. Elevations range from 4,200 to over 11,000 feet, creating a diverse, challenging, and ever-changing riding environment.

Horses That Match the Rider
A core feature of every luxury riding vacation at The Hideout is the horse you ride. Our herd of about 100 horses includes everything from Paints to sure footed Mustang's suited for this terrain. Each guest is carefully matched to a mount based on skill, goals, and personality. These aren’t rental string horses—they’re trained partners.
We strictly limit our guest count to 25 riders per week, ensuring every ride remains intimate, safe, and fully customized.
